McCormick loves to combine her two talents of photography and
writing into art creations. She honed her skills in a studio
beside a lake in Maine, USA where the loons sing in summer and
snow drifts in winter. In 2001 she settled in Wanganui and
work began anew. Her premier exhibition featuring generational
studies of families (Hands Across Time).
In 2003 she completed and extensive work
on Woman of Wanganui, interviewing and photographing 50 women
who have contributed to the city. The resulting booklet is a
valuable depiction of contemporary woman.
Her unique greeting cards, postcards
and posters are often the answer to that perfect thought for a
friend or loved one.
These days she creates images of
individuals, families and wedding events – often combining
words with the images into Storybook Albums.
