been drawing and painting since she could hold a brush.
When she left school she spent 3 years
at Croydon College of Arts. Spending most of the time drawing
she loved every minute of it.
She arrived in New Zealand with her
mother in 1962 and lived in Taumarunui, then moved to Levin
followed by Ohakune where she's lived for 40 years.
She ran a florist, plant and gift shop
with her mother for over 35 years.
With her mother she founded the
Ohakune Art Awrads and ran it for 20 years. After a three year
break it has been run as the Waimarino Art Awards by Trish
Smart and her team.
Since closing the shop doors she has
picked up the paint brush again and for the last four years
has enjoyed painting
