I have been working with clay for over 30
years and have never been uninspired by this medium.
I just hope I live long enough to do all
the ideas running in my head!
Most of my
works are handmade, but I do use the wheel sometimes.
I do all kinds of firings: Rakau,
Electric and Primitive with Primitive being fired in pit or
sawdust and dung but my greatest love is Salt Firing.
I have a large woodfired salt kiln on
our farmlet at Midhurst but as I get older I find I'm not
using this so much, rather, taking the easier option of the
electric
kiln. |
